Ray Lewis Still Drifting is a genuinely soulful performance that showcases the impressive skills of solo artist Ray Lewis, former lead singer with The Drifters.

Singing from an early age – as a child he sang in his town’s Baptist Church – Ray Lewis was recruited by The Drifters when the original vocalist Johnny Moore left (Moore would subsequently return to the band and sing with Ray, who has also performed with Ben E King, Clyde Brown, Joe Blunt and Bill Fredericks).

However, Ray left The Drifters to become a successful solo artist in his own right, moving to the UK from the USA and touring extensively, eventually forming the vocal group music act Ray Lewis Still Drifting.

Recognised as one of the best soul-based entertainers on the circuit today – anywhere in the world – Ray mixes soul classics in his show with the many hits that The Drifters had, including Save The Last Dance For Me, Under The Boardwalk, There Goes My Baby, Up On The Roof, Saturday Night At The Movies and Come On Over To My Place.
