Barricade are one of the most exciting vocal/comedy duo’s to hit the entertainment scene.
Vocally compared to many of the great duo’s of our time. Comically they have been compared to Cannon & Ball and Morcombe & Wise.
Ballads to pop or swing to Motown a performance is assured in their own imitable way.
Their repertoire contains songs from the likes of the Righteous Brothers, Everly Brothers with contemporary songs from Westlife, Boyzone, Take That etc.
Jonathon and Craig as Barricade started their career as a singing duo, performing in the pubs and clubs in their native north Wales, but due to Jonathon and Craig’s easy charm and sharp wit it soon became apparent that comedy would play a big part in their act!
They started to make a name for themselves firstly on the north Wales coast performing in the big holiday centres and clubland. Their success soon spread all over Britain and the entertainment industry were soon talking about ‘Barricade’! They then made several television appearances which led them to appear on ‘Moon and Stars’ an ITV 1 Wales television talent show which they caused a sensation, and then subsequently went on to win the live grand final. Shortly after Barricade filmed a programme for the BBC. which was filmed in front of a live audience for the BBC digital channel.
After a theatre tour with with Johnny Casson Barricade were delighted to be asked to support Joe Longthorne on his UK theatre tour after Joe watched them perform with the ‘Buck Ram’ Platters in Blackpool. The tour with Joe was a success so much so that they were asked to appear with Joe at the Silverton Hotel in Las Vegas, the highlight, performing in Las Vegas on a new years eve, for which they received great reviews in the entertainment capital of the world.
They have also toured the countries theatres twice with the show, ‘Funny Guys’, which was headlined by Cannon and Ball and involved three double acts and a dwarf named Albert!
The boys are versatile also. They appeared in the play, ‘The Roy Orbison Story’, where Jonathon played the young Roy Orbison and Craig portrayed the ‘zany DJ’, as well as both appearing on the show and on television as the ‘Everly Brothers’ for the production.
Working in mainland Spain has seen them appear with Frank Carson, Mick Miller, Jimmy Cricket and Roy Walker at the wheel Tappers and Shunters Club in Benidorm. While also working from time to time in the Benidorm Palladium.They are constantly in working on some of the world’s largest cruise ships or appearing for all the major holiday companies at home or throughout Europe.
They are experienced Pantomime performers and have topped the bill in Pantomimes in Scarborough and Warrington. They are looking forward to spending Christmas in Rotherham
playing Horis and Boris in the pantomime ‘Snow White and the seven Dwarfs’!! Oh no they’re not!!
